New membership benefit

As of November 12, 2009, all TESL Ontario members are entitled to a discount of 20% on regularly priced books at all branches of Indigo, Chapters, Coles and World Biggest Bookstore within Ontario. The discount does not apply on DVD, CD or gift items, and you may not use it for online purchases. It is also not applicable on sales books. Indigo, on granting this discount, normally state that the books should be for educational purchases only. They are, however, aware of the fact that many of our members teach adults and the TESL Ontario comment field on the computer screen in the store will show "that the educational purpose of the purchase will not always be obvious". TESL Ontario is very pleased with this arrangement.

Please note that they will require verification through your showing your TESL Ontario membership card (yes, the old paper one will do just fine for your purchases) and you will have to quote the TESL Ontario corporate account number: 90171091. The new plastic membership cards will have the number printed on the back of the card, in the meantime you may write it on a yellow sticky and attach it to your card so you'll have it handy.
